December

December was AWESOME! Kayla learned how to walk, blow kisses, and say buh bye. Chloe learned what Christmas is all about and shared it with anyone, and I mean anyone, who would listen. She would tell strangers to "Go have some cake. It's Jesus's birfday!"
From Thanksgiving weekend on, Cesar and I made it a point to do something fun for the girls, EVERY weekend. We did it on a budget, so sometimes we would end up going to look at some cool Christmas lights with coco, but they always had fun! We went to Tom's Farm and played, we went to see the Alta Loma lights, we went to a Christmas party, we went to a Winter Wonderland, and we went on a beautiful horse drawn carriage ride to see the lights downtown, perfect for my 2 princesses, oh and, Santa came to our house!!!! He brought Chloe a "big girl bike" and Kayla a pink push car with a giant frog! All 4 of us ended up with the flu Christmas morning which kind of dampened the festivities, but we still had fun! The following Sunday we went up to the snow. I will post pictures of that later. The 3 girls, me included, were ready to move anywhere there was snow. Chloe wanted to live on the side of the road, where we stopped to play in the snow, with her sleeping bag.
God still continues to bless us and we are extremely thankful for it! I LOVE being a Mommy!
I am no good at downloading pictures to the blog, they always end up in a random order, so my apologies for the following...
Christmas night in their matching pjs from Olivia!
I'm not sure how this one ended up upside down...Chloe and her sleeping bag.

October 2009

The older these two girls get, the crazier they get. Here are some of the funny things they have done. And yes, they do almost always match, I like it that way!

Even a princess when she sleeps :o)

We spent time at a pumpkin patch, participating in a Halloween Parade, and of course trick or treating. Here is the month in pictures...

Daddy and Chloe

Hmmm....

This is the pumpkin that she decided on after almost 45 minutes of looking.

It is nearly impossible to get them to both look at the camera and smile at the same time, ugh!

You give the monkey a dollar and he'll shake your hand, pretty funny!

The girls! Our annual photo in front of the sunflowers!

Getting ready for the parade!

Kayla is still "trying" to walk...

She sits REALLY well!

Ooops, she didn't get her way!

Waiting to trick -or- treat!!!!

Chloe's First Day of School

Chloe had her first day of school today. She is enrolled in the Tuesday / Thursday program at The Grove Preschool. To get prepared for her first day she got to go shopping for new clothes, get her hair cut, and get her toes painted. She wore an adorable little blue and white floral print dress, white salt water sandals, and had her hair pulled back into two little piggie tails. She did NOT want her picture taken...as you will see. We all went to drop her off; as soon as Cesar saw me tear up he said "let's go," so we were the first parent to leave. At noon Cesar, Kayla and myself got to the classroom just in time to hear Mrs. Shah say, "Chloe you had a great day today. Come and get a sticker." However, when we asked if she had a fun day she was quick to say, "Nope!"

On a side note, Kayla is now waving hi and bye and is walking while holding onto something! Two weeks from today she will be one!

July!

July has been very busy at the Pulido house! To celebrate the 4th of July, Kayla's first 4th of July, we went to Temecula to watch a parade. What could have been a nice traditional 4th of July turned into total craziness once the girls started sweating at 9am. At that point, of the 4 for us, not one wanted to be there. Thanks to the local Starbucks we were able to make the best of the day and the 100 degree weather. Starbucks kept the Pulido family from having a total meltdown.

Chloe has become quite the artist! This was the first self portrait that she had ever drawn...of course it was on the cement rather then paper so I had to capture it on film. But because of that, you can see how pleased Chloe was with her talents!

During the middle of July we went up to Northern California for a couple of days. We were able to see my, almost, 88 year old Grandpa in Alameda. And were able to get a generation photo with the girls. Such special memories were made that weekend and Kayla made them even more special when she decided that she would start crawling on the same rug that Chloe started crawling on and more then likely the same one that my Dad started crawling on! KAYLA IS MOBILE! She is so proud of herself. Usually when she gets from point A to point B she sits and claps! During our time up there we were able to attend my great friend Alissa's baby shower. Alissa and I have known eachother since she was 3 and I was 5. She is super special to us.

The girls have become even closer. Chloe absolutely has to give Kayla the first hug and kiss of the morning. If she sees me sneaking Kayla a good morning kiss, she gets SOOOO mad! And, now that Kayla is mobile they are able to play together better.

So, that is July in a nutshell. We have begun planning the first and third birthday party for the girls. I cannot believe how fast time has flown by!

Water Fun!

The girls have been spending some quality time in or near the water. Kayla had her first trip to the beach last weekend. She had a lot of fun eating the sand and taking a nap on the beach. Chloe has been in swim class. Today was her last day of an 8 day intense session. For the first 5 days she did nothing but scream and cry. I have also posted pictures from a swim party that the girls were invited to. Lots of water fun!!!!

Sink or swim....
