Proud Momma

Chloe has made me so proud! She said "Thank You" when lunch was sat in front of her last week, without any prompting, and now says it every time something is done for her. And then, today, she started saying "Please" when she wanted something. My baby has manners! She also has decided to make a daily fashion statement by wearing a princess outfit, either a regular princess, a ballerina princess, Snow White, or Belle. Too cute!
Since the last blog Kayla has gone for her 4 month check up. She is growing at a great rate; Dr. Gifford said that she "looks great." And, she has moved from her bassinet to her crib, every time I look into my room and see the spot where the bassinet used to be, I cry. I cannot believe that I am done having children...
Our God is so awesome and I thank Him multiple times daily for our girls. The girls will be taking part in a baby dedication through our church on Saturday.

December 2008

"Into each day put equal parts of FAITH, PATIENCE, courage, work, hope, fidelity, kindness, rest, PRAYER, meditation, and one well selected resolution. Put in about one teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of FUN, a pinch of folly, a sprinkle of PLAY, and a cupful of GOOD HUMOR."
HAPPY 2009!
December offered us many opportunities to make lasting memories. We started the month by traveling to northern California to visit my Grandpa, the girl's Great Grandpa. Every minute spent with him is a minute that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Mid-way through December, Chloe had her first on stage Christmas performance at the Church. She started off with a tantrum, throwing her drumsticks at her teacher, half way through took her shoes off, but by the end she got the hang of it and was adorable.
Kayla spent her first Christmas Eve at Church and her first Christmas Day at her Mema & Papa's house followed by a trip to the snow. She spent most of her snow time in the car...it was too chilly, duh! She celebrated New Years supporting USC, which wouldn't be a bad Alma mater for her!
To add to Kayla's firsts, she found her thumb, yes, she is a thumb sucker, and had her first serving of Organic Rice Cereal. It is so amazing how fast she is growing up.
Chloe also had a couple firsts...she had her first trip to the salon, usually Attie (Aunt Allison) cuts her hair in the kitchen but this time she got to be pampered. And, Chloe had her first spin on the Tea Cup ride at Disneyland. She laughed like I had never heard her laugh before. When the ride ended I wasn't dizzy so I picked her up and put her down outside the tea cup at which point she took a spill and laughed even harder. Chloe loves her Kaymonama (Kayla) and has become a GREAT big sister.
